An important progress was made on making a console table, but could not take a picture. Here, I am finishing it with shellac.

A week of 04.16-04.20

Cut curved sides of bricks on a bandsaw.

Cut angled ends of bricks on a table saw.

Gled up bricks to make a front apron.

Surface of front apron was smoothed on a shaper(no photo).
Cut tenon ends of front apron on a table saw.

Cut bridle joints of front legs. The legs were screwed to the jig.

Lance gave a lecture and demonstration on barley twist.
The concentration of old master on a risky job was impressed and beautiful to watch.
Juan tried to manipulate the post Lance cut on a table saw.

Veneer(Satinwood, and Mahogany as backing) were prepared, veneer pressed(no photo), and glued-up on front apron.

Veneered front apron were trimmed and table top boards were glued up.

A week of 04.09-04.13

I'll start a real turning and reeding.

I spent a lot of time on turning exercise.
Turning is a risky job.
I realized that understanding wood grain is the most important in turning.
Turning and Reeding of four legs were done.
I am ready for the next stage.
