A week of 12.17-12.21, the last week of 2012

Webbing was done and tacked burlap. I continued to put into and stitched horse hair, tacked masland, laid down cotton, and finished upholstery by tacking fabric.

A field trip. We visited several places, including Mat's and Alan Breed's.

A winter break until Jan. 6th...
The following is Mat's place. I am searching for machines that I will bring home.

A week of 12.10-12.14

Carving and sanding were done. Worked on brushing pumice on carved surface.

Made a seat frame and ready for upholstery.

Foot stool is now in a finish room. Ball and claw foot, trifit foot, pad foot, slipper foot in the order. I oxidized the foot stool by potassium dichromate and applied linseed oil. Both somehow drakened it more than I wanted and created ugly spotty and blotch black surface. The end grain should be sealed before applying those finishes. Sigh.
