+
My first project.
Since it is not called as a project here, it could be better termed as the last exercise piece of the CFM of NBSS.

A week of 01.30-02.03

+
I made dados and rabbets on a table saw(plunge and stop cut) by the help of Lance.

Made the squared stop of dados and cleaned the dados by a router plane.

Checked the squareness of the case by combination squares on the dry-fitted case.

No photos, but struggled to glue the case. ;-)

++
I made mortise and tenon joints of the divider frames on a router and a table saw by the help of Lance.
Also made brakets on a bandsaw and glued them up on the top divider frame, and cut made the door stop and drawer runners.
The divider frames were glued up.

The divider frames were fitted to the dados.

+++
Lance gave a lecture on desks.
Lance's lecture normally takes more an hour.
This one was rather short, taking 45 minutes.

++++
The night before the moving day.
Memories will remain.

+++++
The moving day.
The back bench room was being evacuated.

A new room.
Bob, Nathalie, Vince, Jeff, Cris, Paul, Rich, David and I will be here with a Jeff in the 3rd semester.
Boyd, Charles, Marie, James will move into the other room.

Issac was moving his stuffs.

It's my new workbench.

++++++
I made dados for the vertical partition.

Made notches so that the vertical partition could slide in the dados.

Made dovetails of the vertical partition using a chisel and a ramp block.

Transferred the dovetail lines of the vertical partition on the rails and made the sockets.

The dovetailed vertical partition was fitted into the sockets and dados of the rails.

I glued divider frames, a door stop, and drawer runners.

A week of 01.23-01.27

+
Lance gave a lecture on Bombe chest.
I read his article on Bobe chest in a Fine Woodworking book(Period Furniture) about 15 years ago.
I could easily recognize his enthusiasm on this topic.

++
I finished through dovetails on a case, and dry fitted it.
I marked dado lines by using a story stick, and will make them with the help of an instructor next Monday.

A week of 01.16-01.20

+
Lance gave a lecture on drill press and mortiser
I realized that a drill press could be a monster too.

++
The lumber for the Tool Chest project was lough-sized and lough-milled, and began to be stickered under my bench.
I am currently working carcase through dovetailing.
Life goes on.

A week of 01.09-01.13

+
Lance gave a lecture on tambours.
I like Seymour's furniture a lot, one of which is a tambour desk.
I was most excited to hear this lecture.

++
My project had an serious accident this Monday.
The top fell down to the floor and got several deep dents, and the drawer also fell down and got dents and splited(broken) along the bottom groove.
I worked(or struggled) hard 13 hours on Tuesday and fixed it up. ;-)
I got a favorable review from Dan and Steve on this Shaker night stand and now it's over.
